Each brand has own flex charts and these are general rules you have to start with.
Soft flex boots – Flex 45-75 are recommended for beginner and more comfort oriented user. Besides these boots are recommended for skiers looking for a comfort who identifies in cruising style skiing. If you like to charge and go faster or try to advance to the higher level, we would recommend boots with a higher flex.
Medium flex boots – Flex 80-110 are recommended for skiers who like to go faster and ski into fast turns and changing speeds and directions. These boots give you more control over the skis. In most cases, you don’t sacrifice the comfort because they are higher end boots too.
Stiff flex boots – Flex 120-150 are recommended for advanced skiers. There are many types of boots in this category and with many specialty futures we can’t address now. Usually these category is for skiers who go fast, sometime in a extreme terrain. in addition, they give a maximum control over the skis.
